January through April

INDOOR FARMERS MARKET

Cold temperatures and snowy weather send many farmers markets into hibernation for the winter, but not in Homewood. The Homewood Indoor Farmers Market will take place on the last Saturday each month January through April at the Marie Irwin Center, located at 18120 Highland Avenue. Shop at the booths of many of your favorite vendors from the summer market and get to know new vendors. The market will be open 9am to Noon with plenty of parking.

The last Saturday in January features the UnWrap Homewood Gift Card Giveaway from receipts collected during the holiday season.

CHOCOLATE FEST

This festival features baking demonstrations, children's activities, science demonstration, vendor booths and a variety of sweets, desserts and gourmet baked goods. This free event is located in the
H-F Park District Auditorium, 2010 Chestnut Road.

The Homewood Farmers Market is a great place to start your weekend with your family and even your dog. Not much accents warm weather better than being outside and indulging in great, fresh, local food while relaxing in a friendly atmosphere. Enjoy live music from local musicians! The appraised chef, Dominique Tougne from La Voute Bistro + Bar, has been known to make his rounds through the market; that says something about the quality of produce! Join us every Saturday 8am to 1pm in Martin Square!

ART AND GARDEN STREET FAIR

The Village of Homewood proudly presents the annual Downtown Homewood Art and Garden Street Fair. This two-day festival features over over 45 unique artisans and vendors, activities for all ages, gardening workshops, music from around the world and food from Homewood's best restaurants. The fair is centered at Martin Avenue and Ridge Ridge. This festival is free and open to the public however there is a fee for specific art activities. For more information, call (708) 798-3000.

HOMEWOOD BLOCK PARTY

The Village of Homewood is throwing another BLOCK PARTY! Like a neighborhood block party, there will be fun activities, face painting, and summer fare from Homewood restaurants! Fest goers will enjoy a full line-up of live music throughout the day. Show off your canine's distinctive qualities in the annual Pooch Parade. Judging categories include: Terrific Pet Tricks, Most Humorous, and Best in Parade.

FALL FEST

Homewood’s favorite fall time festival will feature live entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides through downtown, petting zoo and pony rides, games, craft vendors, a pumpkin patch children’s crafts, and scrumptious cuisine prepared by local eateries. The event takes place on the tree-lined Martin Avenue from Hickory Road to Ridge Road.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Starts the Friday before Thanksgiving with special shopping hours from 6:00–9:00 pm.

UNWRAP HOMEWOOD

This shopping initiative runs from Holiday Open House until December 24th. Gather receipts from participating HBA businesses during the holiday season. At the last indoor Farmers' Market you will have a chance to win a gift card from one of the participating businesses.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS

Holiday Lights has become a treasured event in Homewood, capturing the joy, excitement, and traditions of the season in just one memorable evening. Musical trolleys will travel to unique stores, boutiques, and restaurants filled with gifts and recipes you won't find in any mall. Each merchant will have special holiday promotions and discounts, raffles, and in-store events. Watch Santa flip the switch for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Follow a parade of brightly, decorated antique cars and watch live ice sculpting demos, take photos with Santa, hot cocoa, bonfire and holiday music. 

HOLIDAY FASHION SHOW

Homewood Holiday Fashion show is the day after Holiday Lights. Enjoy brunch at La Voute from 9-11 with the show starting at 10 am.
